CBT Nuggets Trainer
As of April 2020, I am officially the newest trainer at CBT Nuggets! I will be focusing on content around Azure and DevOps. Along with creating content, I will be helping lead the efforts for the NEW DevOps path presented by CBT Nuggets. The DevOps paths will have an Azure focus and an AWS focus. Both focuses will have content ranging from development, CICD, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and even what DevOps stands for as a culture! The DevOps paths you will see aren't just another training path, but a way to ensure you are ready to become a DevOps engineer and provide continuous value to practicing quality engineering.
The Professional DevOps path is now LIVE! Check it out under my trainer page: http://learn.gg/michael-levan
Azure Content Hero
I am very humbled and excited to be part of the Azure Content Heroes community! The Content Hero badge is given to 1 out of 250 people around the world for sharing valuable knowledge at conferences, meetups or other events. Recipients of this rare award have created original content, sample code or learning resources and documented and shared their experiences and lessons to help others to build on Azure.
As of March 19th, 2020, I am an official ambassador for the DevOps institute! The DevOps institute provides many contributions globally that include DevOps certifications, live training, virtual training, conferences, and many more! DevOps Institute Ambassadors are hand-picked thought leaders and subject matter experts. I'm delighted and humbled to join the effort!
Find me on TechSnips.io, TechTarget, CloudSkills.io and YouTube. My video content ranges from DevOps to development (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to cloud engineering and systems administration. I like to teach a wide variety of topics so I can bring quality engineering to all viewers in IT.
Guest Blog Contributions
Interested in learning from a comprehensive and informative DevOps bootcamp? Check out my segment on the CloudSkills.io DevOps bootcamp where I deep-dive into Terraform in Azure here.
Public speaking gives me the ability to get away from behind the keyboard and talk to other techies in the industry. Face-to-face interactions are amazing for so many reasons. I love the feeling of knowing that I'm truly helping people by seeing them face-to-face. That's why I do this after-all, to help people with their technical goals.
In 2020 I did a panel on containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes in Azure for the Global Azure Summit of 2020, which you can find here.
Right now I do several public speaking appearances per year at Microsoft in Times Square. If you're interested in seeing one, please feel free to reach out and I'll let you know when my next appearance will be. If you can't make the live event that's okay because most are recorded! For example, I did an event recently that was almost two hours long on Azure DevOps which you can find here.
GitHub Public Repositories
I commit and push code for anything from little scripts in Python and PowerShell that I find useful to full-fledged wrappers that I write! All of the code related to my content is also available on GitHub.
I love being on podcasts and live streams! Getting my ideas and experiences into the community is why I do all of this in the first place!
